A: The controller is a Slave and is not receiving Polling signals from the Master Controller. Check to see if the Master is setup to poll for slave controllers.

940nM to 950nM are invisible to the human eye.
The Sony camera block works right the way up to 1000nM so any of these can be used.
However - the further you go from visible light, the less sensitive the camera is. (this seems to be common to most cameras) So to get the best picture go for the shorter wavelengths, but if you do not want people to see the red glow then you need to go for a longer wavelength,
